Well, “Business Registration” is a very generic term. In Canada, a business can be registered in the above five formats. Here is a quick explanation and guidelines for you to choose the right form of business for you.
Ontario Corporation
Ontario Corporation is a company registered with service Ontario under Ontario Business Corporations Act. (OBCA). It can legally carry out business activities in Ontario. To incorporate in Ontario you must be above the age of 18 and have a physical address in Ontario. There is no residency requirement.
The incorporation process: fill out a simple online form on our website, after that our registration agent will verify the payment and review the order to ensure an error-free application. For a named company he will conduct a name search and obtain a name approval. Next, we prepare the application and articles of incorporation and send you a draft for a final check. Ontario Sole Proprietorship
Sole Proprietorship is an unincorporated business that is owned by a single person. The business owner has the sole responsibility for making decisions, receiving all profits, and claiming losses. This form of business does not have a separate existence like a corporation.

Ontario Trade Name
Trade name is also called an Operating Name or DBA (Doing Business As). If you want to use a name other than your legal business name, you will need to register it as a trade name. Filing a trade name does not establish a new business – a trade name is simply a nickname for the business you already have.
